Alpine adventures in the Wildkogel Arena
The high-altitude hiking area Wildkogel and the Tauern valleys of the Hohe Tauern National Park offer a variety of well-marked hiking trails, impressive summit tours and entertaining themed trails with interesting stops. Along the way, cosy alpine huts, inns and restaurants invite you to stop for a bite to eat. The Smaragdbahn cable car provides you with a comfortable ride to the high-altitude hiking area at 2100 m above sea level.
BY BIKE
There are over 800 km of mountain bike tours with views of the imposing mountain world of the Hohe Tauern. In addition, there are racing bike routes and the family-friendly Tauern Cycle Path along the Salzach. E-bikers will also find optimal routes with charging stations. A paradise for two-wheelers!
ACTIVE HOLIDAYS FOR ALL AGES
The Wildkogel Adventure Mountain promises fun and action for guests of all ages. Here you can enjoy the 4 km long mountain cart track, the exciting slide path with ten stainless steel slides, walking paths suitable for prams and playgrounds. The Wildkogel Active Programme offers exciting activities from Monday to Friday. And if you are looking for thrills, there is paragliding, rafting, mega flying fox, climbing, canyoning and many more exciting options. There is something for everyone to make your holiday varied and fun.
EXPERIENCES AND CULTURE
Discover the world-famous Krimml Waterfalls, explore the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, immerse yourself in the National Park Worlds, visit fascinating museums and numerous other attractions. The regular farmers’ markets and square concerts offer you a deep insight into the local customs and traditions of the region.
NATIONAL PARK SUMMER CARD
Our guests receive the Summer Card free of charge! It includes over 60 attractions such as sights, museums, natural spectacles, mountain railways and leisure facilities, which you can either visit for free or with a discount. In addition, the card offers free use of public transport as well as a day admission to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road Adventure World and a day ticket for the Gerlos Alpine Road.
